Economic crisis led to years of cuts. Standardization and testing treat children and teachers like data. Social media threats and expanded safety measures are a constant reminder of national tragedies. And COVID has brought unprecedented challenges to the last three school years.
For public education, it's been ten years of turbulence and crisis. Educators are tired. Schools are changed. Teacher prep programs are empty. It's time to take notice! Schools need our trust and support. Let's put unity, humanity and laughter on the top of every school's curriculum.
